Your support has helped change the trajectory of the lives of the 10,000 young people we serve in New York City and Washington, DC. Together, we’ve supported their academic success, nurtured strong wellness habits, guided them in defining and pursuing their college and career aspirations, and cultivated their growth into globally minded leaders, which our world needs now more than ever.

One such remarkable story is that of Jordany, a Global Kids alumnus. As a participant in our Climate Justice Institute, Jordany gained a deep understanding of critical environmental challenges and their impact on his life and community. Motivated to ignite change, he championed “reduce, reuse, recycle” practices and mobilized his classmates to do the same, helping his school enhance its green initiatives. Jordany’s leadership and passion propelled him to the global stage, earning him the honor of representing Global Kids at the United Nations Climate Summit (UN COP 28) in Dubai, where he shared his journey with global leaders, including elected officials and diplomats. There, he advocated for policies promoting environmental justice to ensure a thriving future for his generation.

Jordany’s transformative journey didn’t stop there. Inspired by his experiences, he is now actively engaged in the urban agriculture movement, striving to increase access to fresh produce for families in food deserts.

Your investment served as the catalyst for Jordany’s evolution, enabling him to uplift his community and serve as a beacon of hope for others.
