Global Kids educates, activates, and inspires young people from underserved communities to take action on critical issues facing our world. Global Kids, Inc. is seeking a dynamic, hard-working, and creative individuals who have expertise in the Arts; (e.g. dance, theater, painting, sculpture, digital media, martial arts and/ STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) and or Literacy (e.g. Poetry, spoken word, book club). Experience in youth development and anti-racist practice and pedagogy is preferred. Interest in global education, social action, and providing coaching, and mentorship to middle school-aged young people in team-based setting is a plus. Activity Specialist are asked to implement activities with multiple groups per site. Activity Specialist may be assigned to multiple sites located in New York City throughout the week. COVID-19 vaccination is required. All positions will be in-person.
Activity Specialist will be required to work September – June during afterschool hours, plus additional hours of training, preparation and follow up time at a time to be scheduled with GK staff (typically between 1:30-6:00pm M-F, depending on the site placement). Position is paid $25 to $30 an hour (depending on experience) for up to 20 hours per week. GK also offers paid vacation time off, personal day, and sick time. GK staff also have access to retail discounts through our Professional Employer Organization (PEO)
