Congratulations to the GK students who worked on this project in Japan for winning the “Best Pitch” Award at 2017 Emoti-con!

In the summer of 2016, 10 Global Kids high school students traveled to Japan for a cultural exchange and service-learning trip.
The Global Kids students along with their Japanese peers from Katariba, created a geo-locative game utilizing MIT’s Taleblazer software to complement the extensive prevention, education, and relief work following the 2011 tsunami and earthquake in Japan. They adapted GK’s NYC Haunts to serve as a helpful tool for residents of the tsunami-effected region. Click here to look at the Onagawa Neighborhood Quest! |
